i see the light

This week sucked. I had my first experience with strep throat. And that thing knocked me on my ass for about five days. Literally sucked the life out of me. On top of that, one of our cars broke down and cost a big 'ol chunk of money to be fixed. And then it was my birthday. I'm not a big birthday person. I don't love them or hate them. We don't go crazy celebrating, but it would have been nice to enjoy the gorgeous weather and the ice cream Steven had brought home.

The good news I guess is that we live in a world with antibiotics and personally, have a little bit of money saved for things like unexpected car troubles. And the weekend came and the sunshine stayed and the ice cream is still in the freezer.

So off to enjoy it all now...

 

come sweet day

we've had a couple of spring-like days in the last two weeks. the kind of days that make me feel like i've been in a state of mild depression all winter long because i forgot how wonderful life can be when the sun is shining, windows are down, and kids are playing in the backyard.
