hello world

crosby's first birthday was this weekend. we didn't do much in terms of a birthday celebration, but he was well loved and i thought a lot about our journey this past year.

it's hard to explain my love for the boys. because they're different. my love for them is equal, but certainly different. J made me a mama when i didn't really want to be one and didn't think i could. he was patient with me and forgave me as i learned how to be his mom. we were a team. and that's special.

but C, i wanted him. i was more prepared, more settled in my role as a mother. he made J a big brother, which is so fun to watch. and just added JOY to our family.

we love you, crosby josiah. you are curious and crazy. you make us laugh everyday. i am so lucky to be your mama.
